Biography:  Dr. Qinmin Wang graduated from Department of Geography and Mining Engineering from Fuzhou University in 1981. He got his Ph.D. from Imperial College London. He had been studying and working abroad for more than 15 years. He organized or took part in seven international cooperation projects with funding more than 11 million US dollars. After returning back to China, he advocated, planned and organized the Digital Fujian Project and its implementation. Now he is a member of the International Eurasian Academy of Sciences; Professor at Fuzhou University; Director of the Expert Committee of the Digital Fujian Program; member and Deputy Secretary of the National Committee of CPPCC; Member of the Expert Panel of the National Remote Sensing Center, Ministry of S&T; Deputy Director of the Expert Committee of the Chinese Association for Remote Sensing Applications. He is the Principal investigation of several key projects at the national and provincial levels with funding tops 70 million Yuan. He was awarded with 2 National S&T Awards (Second Prize), 2 Fujian Province S&T Awards (First Prize), and 2 Province S&T Awards (Second Prize).
